There does not appear to be any painters tape on the mask, although there is a comfortable nose piece and elastic straps. Unfortunately, trolls have been using the question section to promote their website.
It is likely not an issue with how it is being put on, and could be due to the design of the mask. It may help to shorten the straps or try placing the mask UNDER the chin. The most important thing is that the mask fits well, and if it does not fit the face size, it may not provide the best protection.
The 3M 9205+ mask is sold by a vendor on Amazon, which is an authorized 3M store. Recent purchases of the product have been legitimate, although without the original packaging, and Amazon has issued a refund in the event that it was not.
