I'm updating my review because of the excellent customer service from Casabrews. I emailed them the same day I wrote my original review. They responded within hours and said that they would either send me a new machine or provide a refund. I took a few days to decide which resolution I preferred. I thought I'd try a french press and electric frother because I'm tired of espresso machines dying right after the warranty expires. Casabrews is the first machine that I had problems with while still under warranty. I've been buying a new espresso machine every year for the past several years and am tired of wasting all that money on products that aren't built to last. The french press makes a good cup of coffee but nothing compares to the latte that I've grown accustomed to. So I replied to Casabrews and asked for a new machine. It was delivered by Amazon the next day. Joanne is the rep that I worked with and her responsiveness was extremely fast. It's a refreshing change to do business with a company that stands behind their product and cares about their customers. Thank you Casabrews for caring and thank you Joanne for being so attentive!Don't waste your money. Casabrews makes a crappy product. I purchased Casabrews Gense 3700 20 Bar Espresso Machine on 12/5/22. It was delivered on 12/10/22. I've been making lattes once or twice a day since. Last week it stopped dispensing water in the brew cycle. It's a very very slow drip. It took 3 quarts of water just to brew my 2 shot serving of coffee. While in the brew cycle water pours out the steam wand. I had the brew cycle selected and water was pouring out the wand. Like I said, I was able to get one latte but I had to go thru many cycles of brewing and a lot of water. I've tried turning the machine off, unplugging it, and turning it back on. No matter what I do, water is wasted that pours out the wand and it took about 20 minutes just to get a full serving of coffee. I only use filtered water when making coffee. I tried descaling the machine and checked and the brew head is not clogged. After spending $150, I expected this machine to last longer than 9 months. It's the worst quality espresso machine I've ever bought.

Before jumping headfirst into a hobby that can eat weeks of pay, I wanted to find a reliable semi-auto espresso machine similar to the Breville Bambino. This is essentially very very close to the same as a Bambino with the addition of the pressure gauge all at about a third of the price!I can't speak to long term reliability, I have only had this machine for 2 months and pull and avg of 6 shots a week, but I will be glad to update down the road. (I also purchased the 4 year equipment coverage plan so I am not left with a counter weight)What I love, the size is just right and the tank has a good capacity to get through several shots. The heat block heats the system up very quick and to the needed temperature. The pump is more than ample to get the job done(most would say overpowered for the actual 9psi needed for great shots) but you can control getting that 9psi in your puck preparation. Speaking of that, the gauge will let you know what psi range you are running, you can can get the ideal range by adjusting your grind and you tamp until it's perfect. It's nice that there are pre-programmed shot buttons, which come out to either 1oz for single or 2 oz for the double, it dispenses very accurately! You can also manually program them to the amount you desire, which is a plus if making a 1:2 or similar grounds in/espresso out ratio.I elected to buy an aftermarket stainless steel bottomless and 2 spout portafilter with single wall baskets, as this machine comes with a generic portafilter with pressurized baskets. The stock portafilter and baskets with be great if you just want to make a quick shot without getting all technical into the grind/tamp and that business. I just personally prefer to dial mine in and enjoy the process :)It has its ups and downs, but for the features and this price, the ups far outweigh the downs to me.

I love my cappuccino with this machine. The milk frother gets tons of use in my house, I make Americana coffee with it too, and I use it to add steamed milk to matcha tea as well. Been enjoying this for over a year now. The pressure dial stopped working somewhere in the first year, but it didn't affect the quality of my coffee. I just can't drink regular automatic drip anymore, I've been spoiled with this machine.

I've been drinking espresso for 60 years, still own the professional Rancilio I had in my coffee house 35 years ago, and have travelled to "worship" in Italy's temples, so I know espresso! This machine makes a very credible shot at a very reasonable price. The pressure gauge is a joke, and the steam jet delivers an endless stream of broken promises, but the brew is fine!

This is the first time I have used an automated espresso machine. I was seduced by the 20 Bar pressure and the elegant design. However, I found the machine to make inferior coffee to what I was able to make on my manual SAECO machine that finally died after some 15 years. The baskets are too small (shallow) to hold enough coffee grounds. It won't make a good crema on a double shot espresso and the frothing tube doesn't do as well as the SAECO.The price is fine but the final product.... the coffee is not so good. I would not repeat buying.I even considered sending it back, but since I live overseas, it is more trouble and cost than it is worthwhile to do that.By the way that picture of the product with that nice crema on the dark espresso is a doctored picture and does not reflect reality.I rarely throw out a cup of coffee but did it this morning... Inferior coffee.Oh, and by the way the tamper could have been a millimeter or so bigger in diameter and it's so flimsy it is hard to control. Ridiculous. It needs to be solid so you can grip it well. One good thing is, since it is programmed, I don't have to worry about over extraction. The extraction process stops as programmed and you don't have coffee pouring all over the counter. That I do like

My wife and I have a bad cappuccino habit. Started while on a visit to Italy. Continued when we returned home. Gets expensive to buy two a day from a coffee bar. This machine came highly recommended. For once the recommendations were on the money. It makes good cappuccino, is modestly priced and after some trial and error makes cappuccino as good as most coffee bars. Instructions that come with the machine are clear and have pictures to make the procedure clear. Just follow the instructions. Bought three essential tools to go with the machine. A good heavy weight, aluminum tamper. The plastic one that comes with the machine is wimpy. Here it is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09H24D5YQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also got a stainless steel frothing pitcher to use in steaming milk. Better than anything you have at home. Here it is: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KFYXTRR?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Lastly, bought a coffee canister designed to keep ground coffee fresh. Works well. Here it is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H38T264/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Making the perfect cup of cappuccino is by trial and error. Took me about ten tries. First, get the right espresso coffee. Tried some Italian versions. Not so good. Settled on Starbucks espresso, dark roast. Not ground to a powder like some espresso coffee, but works well in this machine. I'm too lazy to grind my own beans. Next, the right milk. Many coffee bars use one percent milk. We found it too watery. Changed to whole milk and that works fine. The amount of frothed milk you add to the espresso affects the strength of the taste. I suggest you don't add all the frothed milk in the pitcher to the top of the espresso cup all at once. Try 3/4 full. Probably too strong. Then keep adding the frothed milk in increments until you find the right amount of frothed milk that satisfies your taste. You don't have to buy this. But you need two cups. Any cup to capture the steam coming from the machine and a 12 ounce cup for the espresso/cappuccino. The 12 ounce cup has to be wide and not high so it will fit under the spouts where the espresso comes out. Tip. Turning the handle while on the machine was hard. A tiny drop of vegetable oil on your finger tip, rubbed on the edge of the cup containing the coffee, before inserting it into the machine, makes the handle turn easily. Doesn't effect the taste. Just use a tiny smear. All in all, this is a great buy. The machine makes 12 ounces of fine cappuccino in the convenience of your own home. I timed the process. Took me 15 minutes total in preparation, making the cappuccino, and cleaning up. A bright spot in our daily routine.

I’m excited to make myself a cup of cappuccino every day since I first got it 2days ago. I’m not a barista so I’m learning on how to make one. The machine is a bit loud but as per the manual, it would be a lot quiet as I keep on using it (finger crossed). It is user friendly, slim to fit my small counter space, and look very pretty (I paid extra to get the navy color). Everything is working good and so far, there is no leak or issue. For me, this is a good brand for a home use expresso machine. I highly recommend. My coffee couldnt be more tasty!

I never leave reviews but finding a decent espresso machine took a significant amount of leg work so I figure this may help a person or two. I’ve owned this for ~2 months now and can confidently leave a review for everything except durability (will check back in around 6mo). In short, this is a great machine to purchase on a budget and I recommend it for those who are looking for an easy way to make decent espresso/lattes at home without needing a ton of counter space. With only 4 buttons and a lever for the froth, it’s really straightforward and quick to use. I’m satisfied with my lattes every single morning and have saved a ton of money just by introducing this machine into my routine. With that being said, there are quirks with this machine and some trial and error is to be expected when brewing for the first few times especially if it’s your first time making espresso. The first quirk is that shots will come out lukewarm (and not tasting the best) if you don’t give ample time for the machine to heat up. Reviews mentioning this are 100% true. I usually give this thing ~5 min to heat up and that’s enough time for me. Next, if you use the frothing wand prior to pulling a shot, the machine will over pressure, the fix is super easy so just avoid making that mistake during an early morning brain fog as it will cost you time. You also can’t froth while pulling a shot which makes sense for such a simple machine but that’s really the only thing I wish was different. Overall, owning this is a million times more enjoyable than spending $6-7 on a latte that may or may not meet your expectations at a coffee shop. At this point, I’m very satisfied with this machine and don’t see a good reason to “upgrade” to a more expensive machine. Only the test of time will dictate this.

Works perfectly, instructions are very clear, the frother worked fine the first few times, then suddenly it doesn’t work right, but I have a separate frother, so no problem. Espresso comes out great!! Love it, especially for the price!!

So far we love it as someone who has never made espresso before it is easy to use! One thing to note is it is difficult to lock the portafilter the first few times but it does become easier with use! It is also easy to clean and makes a wonderful shot of espresso. Haven’t had it long enough to know how durable it is but I will update with any concerns if they arise.

This is a lovely machine. Easy to use and beautiful espressos produced. Light weight and will not take up too much counter space.I had a minor problem with my machine upon delivery and emailed the CasaBrews support team. Joanne answered right away and went above and beyond to help me. I was blown away with the customer service. To show how much appreciate them, I will wait until their KWG-250H coffee bean grinder comes back in stock instead of ordering another brand.Thank you so much CasaBrews!

The espresso I made this morning was delicious, but it was difficult for me to use this machine. Loading it was awkward because my hands are older and the body of the machine is light and doesn't stay stationary....slides around, and loading the basket into place was so STIFF. I had to pick up the machine and wrap my arm around it, which is definitely a problem, since it's hot. I'm sorry to say that I wouldn't buy this again and may have to return it. Update: After a week of use It's much easier to load, and I'm happy with this machine and will keep it.

I have a bit of a love dislike relationship with this machine. I have been using it for just over a week now for my daily lattes so I am still getting a feel for it. We purchased this one after my old Breville began to seem like it was about to go. We have had the same machine for about 10-11 years and it just started going after we were travelling back and forth with it to our cottage. They don’t make the model we have anymore so after some research my husband thought it was worth trying the casabrews.I am a hard core espresso connoisseur by any means. I don’t weigh my beans or shot, etc. but I do have a bit of a picky taste and don’t like just any espresso. Here is what I like about the unitIt looks nice and sleek. Because it is such a sleek model it doesn’t take up a lot of space on the counter and is easy to move. The pressure gauge on the front is something I haven’t had before and I like seeing that my grind is in the right range. It makes a good crema on top of the espressoThe machine automatically stops when the 1 or 2 cups of espresso have brewed. This took a little getting used to as I haven’t had that before. So sometimes it feels a little too much water is in. But you can always just stop the pour if you prefer it a little stronger.I have only frothed milk once as it is summer and I prefer iced. But it worked well and it quickly heated the milk. Much faster than my old machine. Seemed to make a good foam. Here is what I don’t love.Because the machine is so lightweight you have to hold the machine while trying to lock in the espresso holder. It’s not a big deal but I often have a baby of child in my arms while making coffee so it’s a bit of a pain. Not a dealbreaker just worth noting. After you use the frothing arm you have to run hot water for about 8 seconds so the machine doesn’t overheat. All of this is detailed in instructions. If you don’t the lights on the 1 and 2 cup buttons just flash on and off and you can’t brew. It will also just flash like that and not brew if the overflow on the bottom of the machine is full and needs to be emptied. I had this happened and I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t get the machine to brew. It was so frustrating and I was ready to pack the machine up and send it back. My old Breville didn’t have any of that automation so it takes getting used to.Now that I am getting the feel of things I am pretty happy with it. The real test is how long it will last.

Had this for over a year now and it has been the best purchase of the year! Makes perfect delicious coffee, it looks beautiful and is a workhorse. My partner and I have together about 4-6 lattes a day. It’s easy to fill and easy to clean.Different beans need different grinds which will need to be adjusted each time you open a new bag, but often it’s the same grind size for multiple bags. Most of the time if the pressure is a little low I just add a little more grind next time and it fixes the issues. Easy peasy.Always run an empty double shot first thing in the morning, use wet cloth to wipe steamer and wipe down after use. Stays clean with little effort.I highly recommend this if you’re feeling adventurous and looking for an excellent espresso at home. The video directions have always been helpful if I had questions on how to handle something like grinder cleaning(which it only has needed once).Haha now we dread getting espresso anywhere but at home because no one makes as good of a cup as we do!Saves us $$$$!

This is our first time buying an espresso machine. I don’t want to shell out an arm and a leg but we did want to have an easy to operate espresso machine. When I Open the machine, I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality of this product. Nothing with cheap plastic parts and crucial places. I’ve had it for a couple of months now and it’s operating solid.Best of all they have a YouTube channel with all the instructions, you need to figure out everything. Very satisfied!

We absolutely love this machine, have from day one. It’s easy to use, pretty low maintenance, and it’s just a great machine. When we accidentally broke the bean hopper we emailed customer support and they sent us a new one within a couple days. After 2 1/2 years with our machine we had a malfunction with the steam system. Steam was being purged from the bottom of the machine when using the steam wand. Emailed Laura with customer support again and she emailed back immediately (late on a Friday) and said they were sending us a new machine. Cannot say enough good things about Laura and the customer support at casabrews.

Ordered this espresso machine to replace my Breville Espresso machine which had quit after 7 years of daily use. This one looked good online, but in reality it has serious faults. The Grind Bracket is a flimsy plastic that makes it almost impossible to seat the Filter Holder when grinding the coffee which usually causes a mess and makes it difficult to get a precise amount of grounds. Locking the Portafilter to the Brew Head takes real strength, while gripping the machine to keep it from moving. (My wife can't do it.}. There also aren't storage places for the many accessories. BUT THE WORST THING IS THAT YOU CAN'T GET A CONSISTENT BREW PRESSURE OR LENGTH OF EXTRACTION. The Casa Brews delivery box was also flimsy and broken at delivery. After two weeks of trying to get the machine to work right, I have returned the Casa Brew to Amazon and am buying a new Breville Espresso Machine.

I'm a bit of a latte addict., I was spending a lot of money at dunkin. One of m friends had a breville machine, she showed my how easy it was to make a latte at home. When I started researching machines breville was even more pricey than this machine. I took a chance and went with this one because its $300 cheaper. I do think the breville machine is nicer overall but for the price, this machine works great once you figure out the bugs. The directions suck, and the video sorta helps but they miss a few steps. On the machine is says to preheat to warm the machine up, the video never mentions that. So that had me stumped for a little bit because the frother has a preheat mode. I kept preheating the frother, which then backed it self up and was blowing steam out the bottom. So beware of that. No idea why that happened, i don't use the frother because I don't want to blow the machine up.I prob did 25 or so test runs the first day i got it,trying to figure out how fine to grind the beans to get the machine in the espresso range. I personally just stick with 8. I played with it a bunch, 8 is what they recommend it seams to work the best. The tamping was another curve ball. You don't need to overtamp, if you do It'll peg the machine way past the espresso pressure. So I do 8 on the grind and a very light tamp and I'm typically on the high end of the espresso pressure bar. Also, they sell the syrups at Marshalls. I paid $7 for the big bottle of the caramel syrup compared to $7 for the mini bottle at target. All in all, I literally love having this machine in my house. This machine will pay for itself in no time.

Hi,I don’t write a lot of reviews but I feel like I need to for this one. I enjoyed the machine when I first got it. The grinds poured out evenly, brewed amazingly, and felt like a great value for the money. I kept up cleaning for the most part and now one grinder isn’t working and the other one that came with the machine, is spraying grinds everywhere. I paid $600 for this to break down in 6 months? Thanks.Edit:The customer service was very quick at getting a hold of me to figure out what is wrong with the machine and if it’s broken they would either send me a new one or refund. I appreciate that so much. After much more tinkering and trial and error. The grinder that was not working started working again. I don’t know what happened but it works now. The grinder still puts the ground coffee off to the left side but that’s very small compared to what we dealt with.

Customer Service: I was so excited when my machine arrived and absolutely loved it for the first few days but then the grinder stopped working after about a dozen uses. I went through the manual and followed all the steps in detaching, cleaning, and reattaching the ginger and bean hopper multiple times but it still didn't work. I contacted CasaBrew customer service and they were quick and efficient in their replies and in sending me a replacement machine.I'm a novice 'barista' so I just wanted a machine that could make me some good espresso and decent lattes but that was easy to use and this machine is perfect for that. Other than the issues with the grinder, I absolutely love this machine! It's easy to use, the drinks are delicious, and it looks really high-end. Would definitely recommend!

It took a little bit of fiddling but once you know what kind of beans it like how fine to grind and everything just works just as it should the steam wand is actually pretty good it can get to around 160-165°f for frothing and that darn good for the price. Comes with lots of goodies and I am very happy with my purchase. Would recommend new people to watch a few videos on how to properly make espresso, just so you don't spend too much time figuring it out the hard way.

"I'm updating my review because of the excellent customer service from Casabrews. It's the worst quality espresso machine I've ever bought."

"Before jumping headfirst into a hobby that can eat weeks of pay, I wanted to find a reliable semi-auto espresso machine similar to the Breville Bambino. I just personally prefer to dial mine in and enjoy the process :)It has its ups and downs, but for the features and this price, the ups far outweigh the downs to me."
