Love love love this mat! Great quality and provides great comfort when exercising. It’s easy for me to roll up and put away as my space doubles as a play area. Highly recommend!

others are lower cost but to thin- these have a good thickness and works for my needs- i have 3 of them in our gym

100% satisfied, would buy again, will recommend.I use it for stretching, yoga, calisthenics.Traditional yoga mats are too narrow for this 6 ft tall, 200 lb man. This mat is perfect. I use mine at home. I suppose one could roll it up and carry it to the gym, if you have a large vehicle and don’t mind getting stares :) it’s an extra large mat.Occasionally I’ll rest a weighted barbell on it but i don’t store any heavy weights on it (or use it under treadmill) for fear of damaging the mat. I believe it’s supposed to be a body weight mat as opposed to flooring that can support an exercise machine.

I rarely write a review unless I feel strongly about a product or service. This mat was perfect for what I needed, under a boxing bag. It’s the right thickness, good quality, and pattered so you don’t slip. I love it that will buy from this company again! The one I had before was terrible and didn’t work well at all.

I read all the reviews before I purchased this mat. Everything they said was true. This is an outstanding mat. Because of space constraints I need to roll-up the mat after every use. When I unroll the mat it instantly laays flat on my concrete floor. No slipping or sliding. I highly recommend this product!

Love the mat, perfect size for my needs.

This mat is high quality and plenty comfortable for yoga, HIIT, and other floor exercises. It doesn't shift over hardwood. We have our workout bench on it during weight training and it has held up perfectly so far. The extra width and length make workouts more comfortable. I wish I had bought a bigger size!The one knock is similar to what others have written. Even with mild sweating, I do start to feel like I start to slip more than I should. I'd probably sacrifice some durability for more grip.

No words for how much I love, love, love my matt! I literally use it daily! I searched and searched for a mobility matt to fit my ultra tall 6'3" frame and I have found it <3 I was hesitant to spend this amount of money on a mat, but I am so overjoyed with it and pleased each and every time I use it. I take it with me in my car too! I just fold the seat down and place it in the back and it works! The only reason I took off a star is because I have used it sooo much that the straps that hold it together actually snapped and I had to sew them back together by hand. I was disappointed by this because this should not be the case when the mat itself is such high quality and the price I payed for it was an investment in my mobility as a weightlifting athlete. Other than this, I have no reservations about paying the high price I did. More than fits its intended use. Never do I slip or slide and it is plenty big enough for my amazon length. True love after using it for about 6 months now and treating it with utmost care (never high impact, although I am sure you could) and cleaning it regularly. Such joy this mat is. I am just sorry to have discovered it so late! LOLUpdate: nearly 2 years later I still love my mat. However, the straps that hold it together have fallen apart. Gorilla needs to solve this problem. For now I have resulted to using small bungee cords to hold it together. I still take it with me nearly everywhere so it gets daily use. I am considering ordering another for my home so I don’t have to pack and unpack it from my car. Love my mat!

My new workout space is a carpeted room and my old puzzle piece style foam mats didn’t work at all. I’m happy to say that this mat is perfect!! Doesn’t slip or bunch up. Grippy top surface too (the foam ones could be a little slippery). Love the dense support so you don’t feel like you sink in, but it feels great on your spine or pelvis when doing exercises on your back or belly.This is a great size too! Big enough for an individual to workout on, but small enough to roll up and store easily in a closet when guests come!

I was very impressed with how well this item is packaged. You can tell that they take pride in their product. So great to have 2 straps, bag with tie, and a nice size microfiber cloth to come with it. I chose the gray color and I like how it's a nice darker gray. I did my Insanity Max 30 workout on it today and it worked like a charm. It gave the extra comfort that I need so my joints/knees don't get jarred. It did move a little bit on the carpet, and I had to adjust the mat a couple times, but that's totally expected with all the jumps, burpees, push ups, and craziness that the Insanity workout is lol :) It does have a really cool textured bottom on the mat that does a good job of gripping the floor. The mat size 6' X 4' worked great for me. I'm only 5'2". I think though if you are closer to 6 feet in height definitely go for the 7 ft mat instead, especially if you plan on doing push ups or planks on this mat. It's better to go a little bigger I'm thinking. The quality of the mat is definitely 2 thumbs up. I'm not scared to let my dog run around on it like other mats that can tear with her claws. Looking forward to using this mat for years to come. :)

I initially purchased one of these mats for an older dog that was having trouble getting up and learned the value of a NON SKID surface. Now I have purchased a dog pen for a different dog and purchased another of these mats to lay under the pen so that it will not move if the dog jumps on it. It is perfect. Not to mention it keeps the dog from chewing the carpet underneath, very easy to clean up and is comfortable for the dog to lay on. And I should mention the materials this mat is made of emits no harmful chemicals!!!!!!! Great product. Worth every penny!

This is such a high-quality mat. I love it. It rolls up easily when I'm finished working out. Looks great and feels great. I'm so impressed and I imagine this will last me forever!

I ordered this mat based on all of the raving reviews here, and wanted good quality. The first impression was great. The mat is thick, durable looking and fit nicely in my basement gym. I used it maybe 2x and my kettlebells scuffed the mat easily. I didn't throw them or wasn't rough with it, I simply moved them from one part of the mat to another and it scuffed the mat.I get that it's only a scuff but it's kind of an eye sore for me personally, and I honestly don't think it should be that easy to scratch with all the boasting gorilla mat makes on their product.I reached out to gorilla mat directly since they claim you will receive lifetime warranty, and all I was told was to send it back to Amazon. They never answered my question on their warranty, only that I should return it which is an inconvenience. So although the mat is nice, for the price it's worth exploring other options to see if there's a better one.Update: gorilla mat stands by their warranty. Received a replacement mat

I've had this mat for 2 years and have used it almost daily. I freaking love it! I used to work out on those jigsaw piece mats that you can get everywhere. They are fine for the price, but they slide all over and sometimes come apart with certain movements. This mat, however, is great! I got the 4x6. It’s perfect for the bedroom space I'm using it in. If I had a bigger space, I'd definitely get a larger one. I sweat a lot on this thing and it's good about never really letting the sweat soak in, so I use the included microfiber towel to wipe it. It's been great for a variety of workouts including yoga even though it's not as squishy as some yoga mats.There are only 3 cons that I've experienced with this mat, and they're conditional: 1- Depending on the type of shoes you wear, you may have trouble with movements that require you to pivot because your foot doesn't slide on this. 2- My bedroom has this crappy old carpet, so the mat does move on it after a bit of doing certain things on it. 3- The straps eventually came apart after about a year of daily use, but I replaced them with some others I bought on Amazon and they've been great.Overall I'm super pleased with this purchase and would absolutely buy from this company again.

I found this mat through a fitness youtuber and put off buying it for almost a year because of the price. However, when we moved from an apartment with hardwood to one with carpet, standard and even thick yoga mats were no longer cutting it. The difference is HUGE and honestly well worth the price; this thing really is built to last a lifetime! This mat is durable enough for shoes, and thick enough that you don't feel the carpet's texture underneath without shoes. It's surprisingly easy to move despite its weight and size, and only slides slightly during intense cardio (I've been able to counter this by putting it against a wall.) I wear shoes during most workouts and, while the mat does scuff (which honestly is to be expected, even with the toughest gym flooring,) it has never sustained any deep scratches or noticeable marks. I've included photos of this mat next to a standard $30 yoga mat I've had for the same amount of time; be comparison, my shoes left gashes and took a chunk out of the standard mat during the first two weeks I used it.

I turned one of my rooms in the apartment to a workout area. I do functional training with catlbel weights of up to 20 KG and many jumps and movement drills.I was looking for a durable, shock observing and 100% anti slip surface. Also it had to be big enough for setting up multiple instruments.First I bought horse stall mats - I didn't do my research and that was a huge mistake, the odor was unbearable and nothing helped just as many blogs warned. The best decision I made was to throw it out and get this mat. I feared it was not thick enough to shock observe properly when I jump and maybe not so durable but it turned out to be absolutely perfect, couldn't be happier.Good surprise- the mat in itself is also very comfortable to workout while lying on your back.

PERFECT workout floor. I've been using the puzzle piece mat that is a pain in the butt because the parts come apart, bunch up, etc. and I hated them.Not anymore with this mat. It stays put, stays flat, and doesn't fall apart like the prior puzzle piece mat I was using. This was absolutely worth every penny paid.

Showed up when it was expected to. It is a substantial mat and seems to be exactly what I was looking for to go over the horse mats in the gym. Broke my ankle same day so haven't been able to actually try it out yet. Will let you know more in 8-10 weeks :( The kids love it

I got the 6x9 exercise mat and it's got to be one of the most durable and comfortable mat that I've ever to workout on. Highly recommended for cardio, weight training, aerobics as well as martial arts practice!!

Love the matt and the feel to work out on but zero durability for the price. We moved one piece of equipment on it and it tore. So disappointed with value for the price.

Doing a HIIT workout or yoga after doing cardio is challenging if not dangerous. If you lay on the mat after working up a sweat, don’t try any balancing movements afterwards.
