However, the design of this press is next level. Having two separate pieces that come together super easy and act as the joint is amazing. It took maybe one or two uses to get used to inserting the top section into the bottom but it's still very easy to use even during that learning process. Being able to separate the two parts with no effort makes inserting garlic and cleaning the device SO EASY. Cleaning garlic presses has always been a pain to do and if you stick them in the dishwasher, even stainless ones start to have issues with the joint. There's no joint here and since the two parts separate, it's easy to access the press area. Not to mention, the top part is designed to be used to scrape the garlic off the bottom when it doesn't shoot out all the way AND it fits perfectly in the pressing bed so it scraping out the skins is fast and easy. Now I use the top handle instead of a paring knife or my fingers. The handles are well shaped and sturdy. The handles separating doesn't cause any problem whatsoever with use. I will never buy another garlic press and have recommended it to all my friends who enjoy cooking.Look no further. This is the perfect garlic press.

I've owned a lot of different garlic presses over the years and they all eventually break at the pivet point. Many of them are either hard to clean, aren't self-cleaning, Don't press with the skin on.There's lots of variations but this one seems unique.It's expensive , but i'm pretty sure it will be the last garlic press that I ever have to purchase.It's strong enough to press with the skin on, It's self cleaning is a little wonky but does work. If this pivot point breaks from normal usage, then you are the incredible hulk. This is a two pack , does fine and coarse garlic pressing. Quite useful option but If you would like to save a little bit of money , just get the fine one.This company also makes a few other tools that I am considering as well solely because of how well this one is constructed.I am all about making my prep to be quicker faster and easier. This is a tool I will use for years to come.

I like this garlic press, the heaviness lends to the durability of it. I like that’s its dishwasher safe without the dulling and pitting of other types I have tried. The 2 part design does not bother me. It does work on non-peeled cloves which I like, and yes you have to clear the peel after every clove but that doesn’t take near as long as peeling by hand. It takes strength to press a clove with the peeling on, more so than peeled cloves. It washes quickly except for the holes. I like low maintenance tools but this part is tedious to clean the garlic out of the holes. I’m surprised the manufacturer doesn’t include a plastic piece fitting the holes to easily poke the garlic out of the holes. I use a rather large nail to poke it out but that is time consuming since I can only do 1 at a time. This is the only drawback I find with this garlic press.

Nothing in life is perfect, but this peeler is pretty close. It's a pleasure to look at, and a pleasure to use. It delivers outstanding results, quickly and easily. It is easily the best peeler I've ever used in my 50+ years of cooking.Part of what makes this tool great is the blade (see photo 1). Being both serrated and sharp, it cuts through material like an industrial laser, even with almost no pressure applied.Like any other tool, it must be used thoughtfully to ensure user safety. The blade slices through human flesh just as easily as it slices through vegetables. (My wife and I can both attest to this.)I found the risk of cutting myself is highest not when using the tool, but when handling the tool before and after using it. My putting this exposed blade into a disorganized drawer with other tools was inviting injury.I recommend the manufacturer include a removable blade guard with this tool.Those who already own this tool may wish to consider making a guard. I did so using a short length of silicone rubber tubing (see photo 2.) I used tubing purchased on Amazon (ASIN B07R8BWY65), but I would expect any tubing of similar material and dimensions to work in a similar fashion:(1) I started with a 100mm length of tubing.(2) I made a single cut along the length of the tubing.(3) Along one cut edge, I cut out two windows to allow the prongs of the tool handle to fit through.The result I achieved is seen in photo 3. I find the use of this guard significantly reduces the risk of my cutting myself on the blade when the peeler is not in use.IMPORTANT: If you decide to make a guard for the peeler, recognize that new risks of cutting yourself on the blade might be introduced by the action of putting the guard on the blade, and by the action of removing the guard from the blade. Ensure you understand any such risks, and understand how to mitigate them, before using any guard.

I absolutely love the look, design of this, streamlined and sleek. No cracks or extra crevasses to clean out.Came in very nice tailored packaging.Heavy. Easy to hold, more comfortable than other kinds because it's fatter.Gives extremely thin wide Julien strands, gotta go over it twice in the same spot on the veggies you want all the skin off of, like cucumbers.(I can't digest the skin).That said, I wish the inside of the curved part of the Y was polished like the rest of it.It's brushed, like the insides of a forks tines.That gets rusted and corrosion over time with contact of acid in foods.I hope it lasts for a long time before that becomes noticeable.Will update if needed.

Sturdy and sharp. I replaced my plastic one that was falling apart with this steel one. Hopefully this lasts me a few years

Lovely to hold and use. Slices aren't as thin as my oxo "I" peeler however I can peel carrots for salad without the slices getting stuck in blade so it's way faster. Also not a smooth cut, it's serated!

I thought this was a bit bougie when I first ordered it. But boy was I wrong. This is the BEST peeler I have ever used and the quality is far superior to anything else. It’s very sharp and balances well in the hand. Also easy to clean. Buy it, it’s worth it!

Let's face it, peeling potatoes, carrots, squash, etc. for dinner really isn't very exciting and I would rather be doing something else so I want a peeler that is easy to use and gets the job done quickly. Since I do peel some hard to peel items like squash I need a sturdy, sharp, easy to use and good quality peeler as so many previous ones have broken doing this task. With food allergies in the house, the peeler is going in the dishwasher no matter what the manufacturer recommends so I need a peeler that stands up to vigorous use and dishwasher cleaning. My preference in design is a Y peeler like this one as I find them more ergometric & comfortably designed.Pro's of this peeler:- Sharp. Great peeling ability which is the best I have used. I have only ever come across one other peeler that is as good as this one in over 40 years of cooking and it wasn't dishwasher recommended as it discoloured in the dishwasher due to a copper coating on the handle.- Y shape is comfortable to use.- Dishwasher safe. I have been using this peeler for over 2 weeks now and there isn't any rusting, discolouring, reduced sharpness or any other issues from being dishwasher washed.- Stainless steel Y design is very sturdy and this peeler seems to be able to peel anything I need it to, even tough vegetables like squash.- If you want to buy this as a gift, it comes in a small box that is easily gift wrapped.- There is a 5 year warranty from date of purchase.Cons:- Pricey, but you get what you pay for. I think it is cheaper in the long run to buy this peeler than having to replace several broken, dull peelers.- I have small hands and it would be great if manufacturers designed different sized tools like peelers for different sized hands for maximum comfort. Just an idea.Overall, this is a fantastic peeler and I recommend it.
