clip on strainer for pots

Customer Reviews
This thing is so simple yet so incredibly useful! It's made of silicon which doesn't burn or melt from pouring out boiling water, and it quickly just clips onto the pot and holds on nice and strong. I have been using this for a couple years now and am just getting around to writing a review, so it is very well-tested. I love this strainer so much that I have been giving them as gifts. Not recommended for things like rice or quinoa since the holes are a bit too big to keep them in, but I've used it extensively and it works great for for pasta, cubed potatoes, veggies, marbles, ice cubes, pickles, rocks, and some cereals. Also, the strainer will fit on many different-sized pots and containers. I have used it on a small sauce pan, 6 quart pot, 8/10/12 inch skillets, and even a few of my mixing bowls. As a note: I always wash this strainer by hand. It has held up perfectly for the 2 or 3 years that I've had it now, and it's SUPER easy to clean.
Read MoreI don't know why I waited so long to get one of these! This fits any pot and makes draining so easy!! Very sturdy and saves so much room instead of having a big collander.
Read MoreI've used it to drain various pans and a few bowls. I'll admit early scepticism... But am I true believer and proponent now of this ingenious, reliable product. It is made with. substantial, quality materials so is not flimsy-floppy during use, making it safer. I was confident on the first pan of scalding pasta water, when the "Drainer" stayed put. So much easier and safer than trying to drain a pan, while venting the lid and managing pot holders! I've had a few burns, and mishaps doing things that way. So, thank you for availing me to this wonderful Drainer product.. that I have already recommended to family and friends!!
Read MoreLove this strainer!! Works exactly as advertised. Sometimes it is a little difficult to attach to the pan but once you get it attached it works perfectly! I highly recommend this product.
Read MoreLOVE this!! Takes no effort & totally replaces a traditional colander!!! Fits on every pan I have used, very secure, takes the heat of boiling water, and is completely non slip. Easy to clip to pots, may need a little pushing with pots that have a "lip" but once it's on - it's not moving until you take it off. My only complaint is that it could be bigger in the height - I am always careful not to tip the pan too much as I wouldn't want my macaroni to fall over it into the sink. A back up colander in the sink takes away that potential issue. But it is a great product & frees up both hands for draining. Washes & dries nice.
Read MoreI had been eyeing this for a while, and had it in my wish list and kept forgetting to try it - finally got it and I am like why did I wait soo long! Only issue - if you have a lot of food - like pasta in your pan - be careful - I'm so used to dumping this into a colander that the first time I "over turned" the pan and almost lost all my noodles - lol I have used this on many sized pots and pans and love the ease of it - less mess - less dishes to wash - super easy!!!! Love it!
Read MoreI like to drain my cooked pasta, return it to the pot and add the sauce to heat it up, so this is the perfect strainer for me as it saves me the trouble of dumping the pasta out into a colander then returning it to the pot.PROS:-Works really well. It has strained my pasta perfectly every time that I've used it with no drips or pasta falling into the sink.-Very well constructed. It's made of a thick and solid silicone that I expect will last a very long time.CONS:-I find it a little difficult to clip onto certain pots. The clips don't open that widely and it's a bit of a struggle to get them onto smaller or thicker pots.Overall, I'm happy to add this strainer to my collection of useful kitchen gadgets!
Read MoreMuito prático! Adapta facilmente em todos os tamanhos de panela.
Read MoreMy pans have slightly rounded sides, so when I pour to drain, alot of the liquid gets stuck in the curved edge. But that is the fault of my pans, so I may need to upgrade....We took this camping and it worked with all of my camping pans. It also has a very firm clasp so it's not going to fall off.
Read MoreWish I had bought this earlier. Great strainer. Fits perfectly and stays put. Would definitely recommend it.
Read MoreThe product is sturdy, excellent grip, well made, easy to use. It had difficult fitting over pots with the lip unless you fumble with it to make it fit which is kinda hard when steam and hot water is in the pot. So dont use a pot with a lip.The product is well made, so I didnt worry about it slipping off the pot when straining and it didnt slip off.I wish it was a strainer part had a little more height because you have to be careful that the content of your pot dont fall out. I used a full box of small shells and I had to use something else to make sure she shells didnt fall out of the pot.Overall, it was a good buy and I will continue to use it for the convenience. Its better than taking out the strainer.

Read MoreI bought the Snap N Strain Pot and Pasta Strainer as an alternative to my traditional silicone colander. My previous colander broke, and I am in the process of moving, so I was looking for something on the inexpensive and smaller side that would prove convenient and not bulky when it came time to move to my new place. I intend on buying a more traditional colander, but I thought this would be a great substitute in the meantime. As someone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen, I was really excited to find an easier way to strain my food, finding something that allows me to keep the food still in the pot, rather than having to transfer the food back and forth between the pot and colander. In simple terms, does it strain the food, yes. Were there some challenges, yes. When I first used the strainer, I thought the concept itself was very easy to understand, but I found when attaching the strainer to the pot, you have to really push down on the strainer for it to clip onto the pot and become secured. While I like that the strainer does become rather secure once clipped on properly, it is the struggle to get it clipped on that I find worrisome. When dealing with hot food/liquids, the last thing I want to do is feel like I am struggling with the pot/strainer.I also found that, depending on the size of your food, the food can slip out on the top. I've noticed this more so is the case with larger food items or when you have more food in the pot, for example, a family-size box of tortellini. This can prove wasteful if you're not careful. I recommend a bowl underneath or something to try to catch the food. You also need to tilt the pot quite a bit to get all the water out. I have found that some water can get trapped and you can't really shake out the water like with a traditional colander.Despite the issues I found, I think this is a great tool when you're in a bind. I don't think it replaces all the benefits I have found with a traditional colander, but it does what I need it to do for now. Once I move into my new place and purchase my preferred colander, can I say that this will be moving from its spot in the cupboard? No, I don't think so.
