My PetraTools HD4000 Backpack sprayer is top notch for my yard fertilization maintenance. Comfortable to wear and carry with a strong long lasting rechargeable internal battery. Very pleased with its ease of use and simple cleaning procedure. Great assortment of nozzle accessories are provided for different applications. Their web site is excellent with easy to understand and thorough How to Videos for every aspect of instructions for all their products.Great for us novices learning lawn care. My yard is coming along beautifully with fantastic results.My first few uses were precise and efficient when applying their “Neighbors Envy” liquid lawn fertilizer, Chealated Iron, liquid Dethatcher and surfactants. Petra liquid lawn products are top notch and my lawn has been rejuvenated.The more I spray the healthier it gets.After my second use of cleaning, I somehow lost the filler cap filter for the sprayer. Couldn’t find it. I looked to no avail.I then called PetraTools to order a replacement.I had the pleasure of talking to Customer Representative Christina who promptly sent a free replacement filter cap.No questions asked, just great customer service with an outstanding warranty on their backpack sprayers.I highly recommend PetraTools and Liquid products.Thanks again to Christina and PetraTools for standing behind their products.Sam K

This is a very handy tool that operates as expected, though prepare for it to be heavy when full. Purchased in April, used weekly, and in October it stopped working. I contacted the company via email, worked with a very helpful individual by the name of Nathan, and we determined the battery was faulty. They sent out a new battery very quickly, at no cost to me, that was easy to install. The sprayer is back up and running. Great product, great customer service, and a great model for other companies to follow.

Well what I can say is companies with good true customer service are where it’s at!Sprayers that just work and don’t leak and don’t spill down your back and again just work are great.Petra tools is by far the best sprayer over used and I’ve used tons growing up on a farm in PA and owning my own working farm now this sprayer has saved me beyond hours of annoyance that other sprayers would cause.Going on our second season now with it, we run many many tanks full through this from 2-4d to fertilizers for the lawn from Petra and other ag mixes as well as other sprays.It doesn’t hurt your back or leak down your back like nearly all other sprayers I’ve used do. That’s really the key if the comfort to the sprayer and quality.We did have a slight hairline crack in the wand not sure how it happened but again we use this on our farm so it may have dropped or got hit at some point but we contacted Petra warranty and they didn’t hardly ask any questions I showed a picture to Anne and she helped me get a replacement shipped out! Their warranty claims was the other reason I chose to buy their products. We have their 1 gallon sprayer as well and it’s great!This was not a paid review or a reimbursed review this is just me being thankful that there’s still business out there making quality products and stand behind them! Love supporting fellow PA business.

Great sprayer. Can spray inside roof ridge (20’) of boat dock for spiders. Works great.Had minor issue with battery. Called 800 number on back of sprayer and received an immediate call back and text including a video on what to do. Anne was unbelievably helpful and very knowledgeable about the sprayer and walked me through the process. And then registered me for an additional one year warranty!Highly recommend this sprayer. Have used a hand pump back pack sprayer for years. This is far superior!

The unit has adjustable pressure 40-90psi, good for spraying media you don’t want disturbed to drenching if need be, and is very effective at so many different methods due to the number of attachments given. It fits the tee jet heads as well which is a welcomed addition. The 4 gallon is a wonderful capacity to have and has allowed me to mix less. A lot of sprayers get clogged which leads to a stall in productivity. This sprayer has a filter to pour liquids through where I’ve had concoctions with biochar and microbes where I poured it through the filter, the filter caught the larger pieces, which I took out and “sprinkled” on to by hand after spraying the now micronized mixture. It’s quite the awesome companion to a wonderful gardening experience. I also love the accessory metal wand that is available as in other cases I’ve seen, such an addition makes a sprayer harder to handle as it’s heavy in the wrong places and has no adjustability. The metal wand replacement accessory they make is very sturdy but also so light. I often times think it feels lighter than the plastic one. It is also adjustable in the same way extending to almost double its size for high to reach places and the back of bushes kind of thing. The combination of this is just unstoppable and a joy to use. This company also really stands behind their products and I’m so glad I invested in their ecosystem for my vegetables, flowers, bushes and trees. I have written only a couple of Amazon reviews but I had to say something here because I have really been helped out and my needs were met completely and more. Usually I’ll buy something and that is where the support ends with the company having made the money off of me already. This company not only cares about the function of their products but the longevity of them as well. It’s shown that this backpack has completely replaceable parts in every aspect, literally everything can replaced or maintenance can be done parts down to batteries everything. I had a problem breaking a part that was necessary for the function and mentioned there was a sale at the same time which another item was included which would make it so my mom could use this too as the backpack is heavy if loaded up with water or solution. Anne from customer service was able to quickly see my frustration as I was terrified my schedules would be off and I had a big problem at hand. Anne settled my nerves and let me know I would be taken care of in the best way possible. I asked questions about another sturdier component and the one that had broken was replaced with this. I even got some nice gloves sent in the package. This is just outstanding customer service backed by a company who really cares about their products actually being productive in the hands of customers. The replacement was sent in a couple days I was so surprised at the complete efficiency and care I was given by Anne and PetraTools making me and all my friends customers for the foreseeable future. Thank you for everything!

This sprayer works great! We use it everyday for about 2-3 hours. Very heavy use!!! The battery after 8 months started to fail holding a charge. I contacted Petra Tools and chatted with Christina. She quickly determined I needed to replace it. They sent out new battery right away and I will have it within the week. Top notch customer service and great product.

Good size does the job

I have only used the sprayer a couple of times but I'm quite impressed by how solid it is, it's durable and will hopefully stand up to the rigours or regular use! It is a little uncomfortable though as it's quite square, so when you fill the tank it can dig in to your lower back, I'm not worried about this though as I have some rugged foam padding to stick along the bottom which should sort it!There's a good range of accessories and nozzles so I should have the kit for every different job I encounter.Still early days but I'm really impressed by the price and build, would highly recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing! 😁👍

I bought the HD3000 back in 2023, and it has worked well for all of my needs. Although I've only used 3 times, it has been enough for my 1 1/2 acres. It's very comfortable to wear, and easy to use with the turn of a knob, that has very consistent pressure. The different wand attachments make it easy to use for different applications, depending on how much area you want to sprayer, and for spot spraying. I would recommend trying out all the attachments with water first, just so you know how much area each one covers. I would also recommend removing the the battery wires if you don't plan on using the sprayer for a month or more, so you don't end up with a bad battery like I did.After trying to charge my sprayer a couple days after last using in September, I noticed after a couple hours that the sprayer wasn't charging/holding a charge. I called the customer support number that was on the sprayer, and was able to talk to Anne. After talking to her, she was able to help with diagnosing the problem. Anne was able to get me another battery and charger shipped free of charge, since I had only used the sprayer 3 times. She made the process very quick and painless, so I'm able to get back to using it within a week.

I’m very proud of myself finally getting a good sprayer to save me from more injuries. Taking care of 200 + roses is a hectic job when it comes to disease control. I used a manual 2 gallon sprayer from other brand which I thought was pretty good, but soon after two uses my arms and neck gave in. Somehow the algorithm recommended power sprayers prompted me into research and found the Petrotool brand. Considered the price and size wise I thought HD3000 will be a good choice for me. I was right !This sprayer is heavy because of the motor. Adding 3 gal of liquid is the limit I can handle. I need to refill once to cover every rose (in pots.) and a few other plants. There’s a power switch. When first on it makes a loud humming noise, it becomes quiet when you start to spray. Spraying is easy and the mist is even and fine, you can adjust the strength of spray using the rotary power nob. When it’s on the fullest power you can spray far and wide , super cool 😎. The harness is quite comfortable but because of the weight of the container, I have to set the whole thing on the table to “wear” it and set it down again back on the table when it’s done to avoid more injuries. It saves so much time and energy to pump and spray, free up my left arm so I can spray alternately with hands. I can say that I actually can spray my garden with joy. Btw, 100% organic gardening here 😇.The sprayer requires some easy assembling. Unfortunately the manual is not very helpful so I checked out youTube for helps. It also requires some priming, again the manual is definitely not helping. I followed the instructions to find it just waste of your battery power. All you need to do is fill the tank with 1 gallon of water and till to one side (if one side not working try the other side.) It works right away instead of what the manufacturer suggestion of 30 minutes 🤯.Clean the tank is not too hard because of the power.I recommend this product.Note: After a few uses, winter came so I left my sprayer in my working studio and forgot about it. When I picked it up again in May, the sprayer stopped while using only after a few minutes. I could not get it started whatsoever. I called the company hotline, "Anne" helped me went through the problem, ( thank you, Anne 😊) she figured the battery must be dead. I was very confused because it's new and used a few times only. Anne quickly sent me a new battery, free of charge. Turned out the battery was corroded 🙄... so we cleaned the plates then installed the new battery, it started working well again. It worked hard for the whole summer so far, now it's time for it's winter "dormancy " again, I hope all is well. I appreciate how this company stands for its products and offers excellent customer service 🫡 🤗.

I don't normally do reviews. I have two of these HD3000's. I haven't had them for a really long time, but in the past week I have put about 108 liters of glysophate mix through them. They are great sprayers. They don't have the pressure of the HD4000 (which I also have) but I like that because for my uses I don't need huge coverage most of the time as I am spraying invasive plants in a sensitive area. Also, the HD3000 is so much smaller and lighter than the HD4000, and three gallons is enough to carry for most jobs. I mix my chemicals in 2.5 gallon jugs so it works out great.I did have one issue with them though, and I wanted to mention it here. The screws that hold the back pad to the tank were loose from the factory on both sprayers. No biggie, I tightened them. When I went out to spray, the back pads had chemicals on them. When I checked it, I noticed that the screws I had tightened had poked through into the tank and the chemicals were leaking through those screw holes.I reached out to Petra Support and seriously had the entire issue resolved in less than five minutes. Thanks Christina!! Great products, great support.
