This shampoo really seems to be helping with my daughter's scalp issues. It cleans well, leaving her hair soft with no unpleasant smell.

I've been looking for a product like this for a long time and have tried several brands such as MG217, Dermarest, Nizoral, Neutrogena, and others, but I've never seen anything like it. Within a few uses, my scalp has completely transformed, it has completely calmed down, there is no itching, and the swelling and redness has greatly decreased. I also enjoy that it has a light natural scent, unlike certain medicated shampoos. It contains a lot of natural peat mud, which makes it almost black, yet it foams and feels like regular shampoo. I am totally satisfied with this shampoo.UPDATE : I have been using this shampoo for a while now and am a loyal customer ! Besides being good for your scalp, it leaves my hair so nice and soft ! I did not have high expectations for this shampoo since I had tried so many different brands (Nizoral, RoyceDerm, Dermarest etc) within a year or so and nothing seemed to work. With this one, I felt a positive change from day one. My scalp is much calmer and does not itch anymore, the red spots seem to be diminishing as well. The fact that this shampoo is natural and has an cool blackish dark brown color, nice aroma and texture, and lathers quite well also gives this shampoo some additional plus points. I cannot recommend this shampoo enough.

It is gentle on my scalp, leaves my hair clean and shiny, and does not smell like a tar pit. The fragrance is gentle and soothing. I will definitely be buying it again.

Although the smell is pleasant and feels nice to apply on the hair, making hair soft; it causes dandruff. I feel self conscious when I wear black after using this shampoo. I was hoping it would be like a tar shampoo but it isn’t.

I’ve been using this for over a month now twice a week and haven’t noticed a difference at all. To be honest the only thing I like about this is it relieves my itchy scalp almost immediately. But then as it sits per instructions my scalp gets itchy again. Definitely wasn’t worth the risky $30 experience ):

Smells great. I'll continue to use until it is gone, but as far as helping my psoriasis it just doesn't do a thing. Bought this in conjunction with the scalp serum. Neither work for me. I did a poor review of the scalp serum earlier and the company offered to give my money back but I declined. With psoriasis it's just hit and miss if a product will work and I know that when I purchase. So wanted these products to work but they are not for me.

OK, if you suffer from scalp psoriasis as I do, then you know the heartbreaking journey we go through trying to find some thing that will stop the itch and the plaques and the ugly redness, without having to resort to an injectable biologic.I don’t know about you, but I would rather deal with the visible signs of psoriasis, than risk immune suppressing meds that often lead to cancer or tuberculosis.How anyone can possibly choose to play with their immune system is beyond me, but I digress…So, on my search, I’ve tried every prescription shampoo, ointment, salve, liquid on the market, based on sal acid,, coal tar , zinc or antifungal, like Nizoral ,or even homeopathic and mesotherapy solutions without much relief, but lots and lots and lots of dollars wasted and a great deal of sadness.So, the shampoo and conditioner are not miraculous to be sure, however, they don’t smell like medicine or perfume, They are luxurious in lather and in smoothness and they do a pretty darn good job of keeping the itch at bay and maintaining a healthy scalp, certainly better than a lot of the other doctor prescribed or self- chosen medication’s or solutions.Give this one a try and if you are sensitive as I am to propylene glycol ingredients, this one will not cause your scalp to react even MORE adversely as so many of the other solutions on the market will do .I guess the main take away is, there are no miracles that will actually cure scalp plaque psoriasis., but this is certainly a good solution to a fairly unsolvable problem.

To anyone that reads this, this is a very long and detailed but honest review from a satisfied customer. I've had issues with my scalp and skin since I was a child. I've never been officially diagnosed with eczema or psoriasis but I've never gone to the doctor for it either. I experience severe redness and dry flaking all over my scalp, eyebrows and sometimes it comes down the side of my face below my ears. I've tried every brand of shampoo out there. You guessed it. Nothing seemed to work and some would make things worse. Dandruff shampoo dries me out even more, conditioner makes it worse also and I've even tried "T-gel" from Neutrogena which is supposed to help but it in fact burned my scalp. That can't be good. I am bald (kinda) not naturally but I've been shaving my head down to a #1 consistently since I was a teenager because of my scalp condition. When I grow my hair out and use shampoo or conditioner my scalp becomes so red itchy and enflamed its unbearable. There has to be something out there to relieve me of this.And then there's Sphagnum "Natural eczema and psoriasis shampoo." Never heard of it. To be honest I didn't even read the reviews. I didnt care. I was so desperate to try something new I just ordered it. I used it immediately and felt so relieved after the first time. I wish I could have taken before and after photos. Literally for the first time in over a decade I stepped out of the shower and my scalp was not red and enflamed. I experienced immediate results. Where were you all my life?! I have absolutely no irritation which is miraculous. No itching or burning. No redness. No flaking. It even cleared up the irritation around my sideburns and eyebrows. I couldn't be more happy. It has a pleasant, Earthy smell and lathers nicely. I've only been using it for about 2 weeks but I truly believe this shampoo has solved my problem and may even allow me to grow my hair out again. Alright, so I've got pretty severe scalp psoriasis so I'm going to be blunt. I've had issues with my scalp for years now. I'm beginning to suspect the worst flares have to do with the rest of my illnesses, so unfortunately, for me, this did *not* reduce the amount of psoriasis. It's just sort of running wild atm.You're probably wondering, "Why did you give this four stars if it didn't help??"Three reasons:First, this shampoo smells and *feels* amazing. As other people have said it's soothing, it's earthy, kind of sweet, not overbearing, and my hair is in the best condition it's been in a while.Second, it has reduced the itching tremendously. I mean, it's helped immensely with the itching. With the coverage of scalp psoriasis that I have, I've had serious issues with itching to the point of nearly being reduced to tears because of it. The calming effect this shampoo has keeps me from scratching my scalp to bits and *that* is a huge relief.Third, hair loss. I suffer great hair loss with my psoriasis. On average I collect a handful of hair every time I shower. With this shampoo (it took a few months to get here) I'm no longer losing nearly as much hair. This is also a huge plus side. My hair is healthy, it's not falling out, and my scalp isn't itchy!Absolutely deserves four stars. If you're considering this, give it time to work. I started noticing the calming immediately, but the rest took a little over a month. Thankfully the shampoo lasts. You don't need a lot. Follow the instructions. Even if it doesn't completely work, I'm sure you'll have some results.

I like that it only takes an itty bitty amount to wash my hair. it seems to be working on my Psoriasis pretty well. Not the dandruff but the red itchy flakiness on the back of my scalp and neck has subsided. My hair is really dry right after I use it but my hair conditioner works great so that my hair isn't dry. UPDATE: Shampoo is still the only product that works for my scalp. I ran out and in between reordering my psoriasis was back! After a couple uses my psoriasis was gone. This order I bought the hair conditioner to go with it. I do not care for the conditioner from this brand. I still love the HoneyWorks hair conditioner for psoriasis. It is by far the bast hair conditioner for my scalp and hair. So this shampoo and Honeyworks is the best combo that I have ever used. Honeyworks shampoo is too watery.

This shampoo and conditioner is awesome. It's the first time in a long time my scalp has felt this good. I will be ordering more, great product.
