I was asked to paint birch trees on a set of planters. No problem, except I found out that I suck at painting tiny birch trees. So I opted for waterslide decals of birch trees, and they came out like I envisioned! Super super easy to do. The results were stunning... that is, for birch trees on planters. When dry, you'd be hard-pressed to even find the edges of the decal. They were kinda stretchy when applying them, and didn't tear like I was fraid they might.Amazing stuff, and again - so easy to use!

Using a Canon color laser printer and Sunnyscopa's decal paper, I have been able to make decals that or as good as--and in some cases, better--than decals that come with the kits I buy. They are thick enough that they don't tear easily, but not so thick that you can see it once applied. I've been very pleased with both the clear and white versions of these decal sheets.

What a fun item to have! I have not used this in my laser printer yet, but I made some Halloween decals of my own for my nails on the CLEAR laser printer decal waterslide paper. It worked great! This was a first try for me, so there's a learning curve. Here's how I did it, if you're interested. Hope this helps! I cut off a small piece, painted some cheerful Halloween ghosts on it, (based on something found online) with acrylic paint, and let dry. I sealed it with clear nail polish and let dry. I trimmed it closely. Next time, I will not cut between the ghosts as spacing was compromised when I applied it. This was my fault, not the paper's. I only had to put the tiny decal in water for a few seconds, then it was ready start sliding off the paper with pressure applied. If you watch the backing, you can readily see when it's all wet. Positioning carefully, slide it directly off the backing paper onto your dry prepped nail (basecoat & color) and press firmly into place. I used tweezers to assist with this. Let dry and embelish around the decal if desired (I did with dotted stars). Let dry. Topcoat with clear polish (fyi: none of my polishes are gel.) I needed to create my own because I can directly paint onto my left hand, but not my right. With my short fingernails, this lets my creativity fly! When I have time, I'll start collecting little sketches to print that could be applied with just the black line drawing, or I could print, paint, and then apply them. (My laser printer only prints in black.) This is going to be fun to use! Now I'm thinking about embellishing - even monogramming - stainless steel mugs, suitcases, candles...

UPDATE - WHITE Decals - This review is actually for the WHITE decals and the below is for the clear. But Amazon won't let me do separate review for the 2 different products apparently. I will still give the White decals 4 stars. They are pretty much the same as the clear but for the fact that the decal prints on a white background. Same issue with streaking in the printer, but still apply easily and look good. Unfortunately the white decals were shipped in an envelope and were creased when they arrived so a quarter of the paper is unusable. Overall not a bad product.CLEAR DECALS - I have never used Laser decal paper before so decided to try it since sealing the inkjet decals is a pain. The paper feeds fine in my HP Laserjet. For my first try I printed 6 decals for mugs on one sheet but was only able to use the first two because the toner picked up from them and smeared on the paper below ruining the remaining images. So now I just print two at the top, cut them off, send the paper back through and print two more and then have to tape the last strip to a carrier sheet and send it through. This works sometimes and sometimes not. But beyond wasting a bit of this expensive paper, they are very easy to apply. After drying I bake them in the oven at 300 for 20 minutes and you can hardly tell they are a decal. However, they still scratch if you aren't careful. Made myself a mug with a dollar store mug and glued rhinestones on. It is cute so I am happy with the product.

Before buying I did some research on what to do reading all thr reviews deciding on this one. I was looking for something to just do outline to layer over glitter to make my tumblers pop. And boy did this do it. I used an epson work force inkjet printer. Some tips would be make sure after printing you spray it with a clear top coat, so you don't run the risk of the ink coming off. I did go with a glossy spray paint but found that when I go to epoxy seal it, it slides all over and leaves spots bare. I will be trying a matte or satin finish and will update my review at a later time. Also when you go to wet it be ready for it to curl onto itself before it straightens back out. As it's in the water I slide it off the paper just a bit and then apply it to my project to slide it off the rest of the way. Keep it wet til you get it in the desired location and you can begin to squeeze the water from under the decal for the permanent spot. Hi resolution images is best to ensure you get the quality that you want. Lower resolutions tend to come out fuzzy and or pixilated. I am happy with the over all outcome of both my projects even in the trial and error stage.

Product came very fast. Bought this product because the inkjet version of waterslide I bought from a different maker would not work in my printer. This printed very well on Canon Laser printer with no problems. Colours were very vibrant on paper. Very easy to use and backing came off without fighting it. Was able to lay my design onto a wine glass and get the wrinkles out without any issue. Although I bought clear paper you can still see the edges of the paper on your glass. My second design I cut closer to the art work so it would not be as noticeable. I would do a precise cut on my art work next time. Would recommend this product and vendor.

Buying Guide

When it comes to choosing the best waterslide decals to meet your needs, there are several factors to consider. The first thing to look for is whether the paper is compatible with the printer you’re using to print your designs. Since they come in varying thicknesses and sizes, make sure that you’re picking a paper with the right thickness and size for your project. Waterslide decals work best on dry, smooth surfaces like glass, plastic, metal, and ceramic, but can also be used on some fabrics, wood, and paper. It is important to follow the instructions for printing on the waterslide decals. It’s recommended to print on the glossy side of the paper, but you should also refer to your printer’s user manual or contact the manufacturer to ensure the paper is inserted and printed in the correct way. Once the design is printed and the ink is dry, the decal can be applied by spraying the adhesive onto the surface and then pressing the decal onto the surface.
