About product

The Zeta Compression Socks are a must-have for anyone looking for a comfortable, supportive compression sock. These socks offer superior comfort due to their extra-wide size — they fit ankles up to 17 inches in circumference and calves up to 26 inches in circumference. They are made with a cotton/spandex blend that is anti-odor and anti-static, meaning they keep your feet dry and odor-free even with extended use. These open-toe compression socks are also great for those suffering from varicose veins, lymph edema, diabetes, and restless legs - particularly during long plane rides. The larger cuffs won't dig into your leg and make them a more comfortable option compared to other compression socks.

Pros

  • Uniform pressure across the sock
  • Wide calf option for larger people
  • Stays up all day and helps with movement
  • Doesn't shrink after washing

As a plus size woman with large legs and ankles, I have struggled to find compression socks that not only fit but are comfortable to wear for an extended period of time. That was until I found ZETA! These toeless compression socks are easy to put on and provide the perfect amount of squeeze that makes my legs feel like they are getting a nice hug! I haven’t experienced them digging into my legs or ankle area like others I’ve worn where after an hour of wearing I had to take them off. I would suggest buying a size up in case you are worried about the fit. I would have said I was a 2x but bought a 3x just in case and that was definitely a good decision! I will be purchasing more on the very near future!

Honestly wasn't sure if these were going to fit me since my calves are 26" and I am 6'1" but thankfully they came just below my knee and felt comfortable once I got them on. As I anticipated, these do not fit as snugly as my Mojo socks since they are constructed of a different material. However, they do offer a decent amount of compression and are a lot cooler which is nice considering warmer weather is coming! Best part is these do NOT slide down, so I am not having to constantly adjust them throughout the day. Hooray! The band across the foot stays in place without feeling constricted, and I can wear regular socks on top of these and there is no rubbing or chafing of my foot since these don't move around a lot inside my shoe. These are easy enough to get on, especially if you fold them halfway over on themselves then slide them over your foot and ankle, then pull to mid calf and unroll the rest to the top of your leg. Packaging was great and has a nice QRC on the outside that offers a discount on your next purchase, which is groovy if you have a way to scan the code (but might be nice to also offer a printed text code for those who don't). There are clear, direct instructions for care of these socks so be sure to follow them to avoid shrinkage since these are made of mostly cotton and spandex, versus nylon and spandex. Have worn the socks for several days now, and I will consider purchasing another pair or so if they continue to hold up well after several more washings.I think these are a great introduction to compression socks if you have any of the conditions these profess to help prevent or alleviate as listed in the description above, and would add pregnancy induced leg swelling as well. However, if you have chronic lymphedema, these are unlikely to provide the firmer level of compression that this condition requires.Seller sent an email offering to assist with any questions or concerns I might have post-purchase, and seemed genuinely invested in the integrity of their product and the satisfaction of their customers. That kind of attitude would make me likely to buy from them again, or reach out should any issues arise. If you are sitting on the fence wondering if you should try these out, I say give them a go. Just measure your calf width and length to make sure you get the right size. I am happy I did and will update my review to reflect any issues that may arise down the line.

I am 5'8", 149 lbs, shoe 10.5 E width, left calf 14.5, right calf 14, hammer 2nd toe on left foot. Podiatric surgeon told me I have arthritis in left foot. For several years I have felt like I have a rock in ball of my left . foot. He cut some padding to put in my Ortho-feet shoes and told me it would work. It really did work. Then then I had heart problems and my Primary and Heart Doctor told me to start wearing compression socks with 20 to 30mmph. I had no clue where to start. I have never had swelling in my legs and have always been able to go all day without my ankles swelling. I have the measurements taken by heart doctor. R ankle 9/L 9.5, knee R 13 L 14, thigh R 18 L 20, length R 23-L 23. I went to Amazon and ordered 1 from different places. Above knee w/toe, w/o toe, full foot to knee, pantyhose type all using dr. measurement. I died trying to get them on, they felt too tight all day, the marks from tightness lasted days. Finally I gave them all away and decided to not do this. THEN as I was shopping on Amazon I saw Zeta Open Toe with WIDE CALF. I ordered largest PLUS size I could w/o looking at size chart. I am doing alot of walking, almost non-stop for 4 or 5 hrs working outside on my property getting ready for burn season and moving things to get ready for busy summer. I am 77 yrs old, not plus size but I do have big legs, calf especially, small ankles and big feet. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Zeta compression socks. I am going to buy another pair. I think I am going to get the 2x. I do not feel any pain in my legs but when I am on my feet too long 6 to 8 hrs I know it when I go to bed. I am having to move my legs till I go to sleep. I also am proud of this company and support it now not just because I can finally get this darn socks on and off without too much agony but the are also a small company trying to make a difference. They did for me and thank you to them and Amazon. My hero's.

While I'm happy that these actually fit (since I have wide calves even without the edema), and that they are fairly easy to get on/off and they stay up and are comfortable to wear, I find the compression is just barely there and not enough for what I need. I wish that information was provided so I could know before purchasing.

UPDATE: I purchased the black sleeve in 3XL and gave the below review. I was so happy with them that I bought 2 more pair in the same size different colors. However these 2 pair didnt fit like the black pair in 3XL.They were shorter and too tight cutting off my circulation. They hurt my legs and were very difficult to get off. They were nothing like the black pair. These would be great but Ive spent almost $90 and only 1 of the pair fit. 3 pair suppose to be the same size but they weren't. That's too much money to spend and the sizes and compression not be consistent. I absolutely love these! They come in different sizes and has a gradual compression, they don't slide down(if you ordered the right size), and best of all they don't cut off my circulation! Easy on and easy off and my legs feel so good in them. The swelling in my legs and feet have gone away. Oh and I love the opened toe sleeve.... no more pinched toes! Can't say enough about these! Absolutely the best! Get them, you won't regret!

Buying Guide

When shopping for open toe socks, it is important to ensure that you are purchasing the right product for your needs. To make sure you are investing in the right pair, it is essential to consider these essential aspects. When it comes to sizing, open toe socks come in various sizes with unique sizes to accommodate different widths and lengths. Before purchasing your pair of compression socks, make sure to measure your calf or ankle in order to find the perfect fit. Open toe socks come in varying levels of compression, usually measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg). Compression levels can range from 8-20 mmHg for mild compression to higher levels for those with more advanced needs. Generally, the higher the compression level, the more customized your pair of compression socks will be. Different materials and technologies can offer varying levels of comfort and benefit. Generally, open toe socks are made from high-performance fabrics such as Lycra, nylon, and spandex, which help provide the necessary compression while still providing breathability and comfort. Additionally, modern socks often incorporate technologies such as graduated compression that increases compression towards the ankle, helping promote circulation and reduce swelling.

"As a plus size woman with large legs and ankles, I have struggled to find compression socks that not only fit but are comfortable to wear for an extended period of time. I will be purchasing more on the very near future!"

"Honestly wasn't sure if these were going to fit me since my calves are 26" and I am 6'1" but thankfully they came just below my knee and felt comfortable once I got them on. I am happy I did and will update my review to reflect any issues that may arise down the line."
